The Ecosphere Project is a strategy simulation game about managing an entire ecosystem, keeping it balanced and ensuring it prospers. To do this you can't just control the animals directly, instead, you must take a more indirect approach and change the species as a whole:
Is an animal being hunted to extinction? Give it sharper teeth so it can defend itself.
Is another animal unable to find food? Let it do photosynthesis.
As an alien scientist it is your duty to make sure your ecosystems thrive - keep a close eye on the populations and counter random and chaotic events, all the while preparing for a cataclysmic world event.
